The last fashion show of this Lisbon Fashion Week's marathon happened to Maria Gambina who was away of runways from some years ago. So there was some excitement in the air to celebrate the return of the Portuguese designer.
O último desfile da noite de Domingo e que encerrou esta edição da Modalisboa in the Market coube a Maria Gambina que andou afastada da passerelle há alguns anos. Havia, assim, uma certa excitação no ar para celebrar o regresso da designer portuguesa.
"Inês de Castro" was the title of Maria Gambina's SS 2011 collection, what means romance and love affair or wasn't the love story between King Pedro I and Inês de Castro the most beautiful love story in Portuguese memories.
"Inês de Castro" foi o titulo escolhido por Maria Gambina para a sua colecção Primavera/Verão, o que significa romance e paixão ou não fosse a história de amor entre o Rei D.Pedro I e Inês de Castro a história de amor mais famosa da nossa História.
So Maria Gambina was created a youthful, rebellious and romantic collection for next hot season. The collection was divided into three acts: Young Ines in love, The murder of Ines and the coronation of Ines. False pleats and openings in sleeves were elements influenced by the clothing of the time. I loved the beautiful prints that leave sections of bare skin, a great trend seen in international runways. Models are amazing with her delicate hair made like in the Ines de Castro's time, a period where romanticism was the fashion theme.
Maria Gambina elaborou para o Verão de 2011 uma colecção jovem, rebelde e romantica. A colecção divide-se em três actos: Ines jovem e apaixonada, Ines assassinada, e Ines coroada. Falsos drapeados e aberturas nas mangas são elementos influenciados no vestuário da época. Adorei os belissimos estampados que deixam a nu partes do corpo - uma tendência vista em muitos desfiles internacionais. As modelos usaram o cabelo à moda do tempo de Inês de Castro, um periodo onde o romantismo era o mote.
The rich details were the great note of all the collection with a unique symbolism like graphics of decomposing fruits which alluded to the posthumous coronation of Inês de Castro. I loved the pencil skirts, raised waists, accented hips and the fluid feminine silhouette. In the boys loved the" Teddy boys" concept.
Os detalhes ricos foram a grande nota desta colecção com o seu simbolismo único como as imagens gráficas de frutos em decomposição que nos remetem para o acto da coroação postuma de Inês de Castro. Adorei a silhueta feminina, as saias pencil, cinturas subidas, marcação das ancas e as silhuetas mais fluidas, quer as curtas quer as oversize. Nos rapazes adorei a inspiração "Teddy boys".
