Fashion Heroines talked with the Portuguese fashion designer about her SS2011 collection and inspirations/ Fashion Heroines conversou com a designer portuguesa Katty Xiomara sobre a sua nova colecção Primavera/Verão 2011 e suas inspirações:

FASHION HEROINES: What's the theme of your Summer 2011 collection?/ Qual o tema da sua colecção Primavera/Verão 2011 que irá apresentar no ModaLIsboa "In the Market" ?

KATTY XIOMARA: The title for the new Summer collection  is "Cubic Landscape", it attempts to mirror an architectural trend that aims to highlight the nature in cities, buildings are increasingly looking through form, color or introduction of natural elements actually evoke the "green concept". This is reflected in slight asymmetries with constructive effects, color trying to renew the gray of the city in geometric and floral patterns.

O nome dado à nova colecção de verão é “Cubic Landscape”, este tenta espelhar uma tendência arquitectónica que visa evidenciar a natureza dentro das cidades, cada vez mais as edificações procuram através da forma, da cor ou da introdução de elementos realmente naturais, evocar o “green concept”. Isto reflecte-se em leves assimetrias com efeitos construtivos, em cores que tentam renovar o cinzentismo citadino e em padrões geométricos e florais.

Nature takes over the city, the forest swallows every building, a green element takes over the gray range, the urbanism is more fun and exhilarating. The symmetrical lines, geometric and organic cubic become more imperfect and asymmetric. 

A natureza se apodera da cidade, a floresta engole cada construção, um elemento verdejante se apodera da gama cinzenta, o urbanismo é mais divertido e exultante. As linhas simétricas, geométricas e cubicas se tornam mais orgânicas imperfeitas e assimétricas.

 The green forest emerges as a line, a trait that leads to a vivid blue spots and faded dark blue sapphire in a burst of emerging cheeky hidden among the neutrals of white, topped by a dazzling red hibiscus. Slight asymmetries mix colors and geometric patterns and floral, organic textures, but structured in lightweight fabrics, such as small buildings alive

O verde floresta aflora como uma linha, um traço que conduz manchas de um azul saturado e escurecido desvanecido numa explosão de azul sapphire que emerge insolente entre os neutros dissimulados de branco, rematados por um ofuscante vermelho hibiscus.

Leves assimetrias misturam as cores e os padrões geométricos e florais, texturas orgânicas, em tecidos ligeiros mas estruturados, como pequenas construções vivas.
