Houseful to watch the Nuno Baltazar's fashion show, today evening in the main stage of Lisbon Fashion Week, among the crowd, gossip people and paparazzi in joyous "téte a téte". Nuno Baltazar had a legion of fans beetween the portuguese it-girls like Catarina Furtado who was in the front row.
The collection titled "Dido & Aeneas" and it took us to the opera by Purcell and to its heroes. Nuno Baltazar was inspired by travels, mythological entities and the blue of mediterranean sea. I loved the looks with a contemporary insight, full of metaphorical images. Visual impact of feminine and hellenic silhouettes which were set against masculine oversized garments.
The fluidity of the fabrics and draperies was shaken by the blowing sea wind put in strategic places of the runway, causing beautiful effects on clothes and the models' hair.
