"BIRD GIRL" was the name that Ricardo Preto gave to his Spring Summer collection showed today at Lisbon Fashion Week (day one).
"Rapariga Pássaro" é o nome sugestivo que Ricardo Preto deu à sua colecção Primavera Verão 2011, apresentada hoje na ModaLisboa.
The show began with the the sound of chirping birds fluttering on a giant TV screen, exploded in a thousand colors that gave a beautiful guidelines to the models. The bird girls pareded with amazing hats wich remind me stylized birds nests matching with long earings.
O desfile começou com o chilrear de pássaros que esvoaçavam no ecran gigante, explodindo em mil cores, dando um enquadramenro perfeito aos modelos. As rapariga-pássaro desfilaram com fantásticos chapéus a lembrar estilizados ninhos de pássaros a condizer com longos brincos.
In the hot Season the Portuguese designer looked for a new feminine silhouette portrait of a powerful and sexy woman. Ricardo Preto played with different lengths and heights, with low waists counterbalanced with hight waisted, short jackets contrasted with long coats, the designer had created a slim and fluid silhouette, where the classical forms are deconstructed by unexpected notes.
Nesta estação o criador português procurou uma nova silhueta feminina, retrato duma mulher segura e sexy. jogando com diferentes alturas e comprimentos, com cinturas descaídas contrabalançadas com cinturas muito subidas, casacos curtos contrastados com casacos longos, Ricardo Preto criou uma silhueta esguia e fluida, onde as formas clássicas são desconstruídas por apontamentos inesperados.
The rich fabrics used like silk, poplin, the textured, cotton and jersey gave a very feminine classic touch and fluidity to the woman body, the result was elegant and very wearable pieces which we can use again and again.
Os tecidos utilizados como a seda, a popeline, os texturados, o algodão e o jersey conferem um toque feminino e clássico e favorecem a fluidez ao corpo da mulher, o resultado são peças elegantes e vestíveis muitas e muitas vezes.
The figure of Paul Poiret, his ideals and the female universe had a strong influence in this collection. Paul Poiret loved life, art and women and had an insatiable hunger for beauty. Poiret freed women's fashion and women had her devotion to it. Another big influence was Dagobert Peche, with its eclectic aesthetic, undulating forms and full of movement. How Dagobert Peche intersecting geometric figures and their chromatic palettes influenced the construction of the pieces, as well as many of the details of Ricardo Preto's collection.
A figura de Paul Poiret, os seus ideais e o universo feminino que preconizou foram uma das fortes influências desta colecção. Paul Poiret amava a vida, a arte e as mulheres e tinha uma fome insaciável de beleza. Poiret libertou a moda feminina e as mulheres tinham-lhe devoção por isso. Outra grande influência foi Dagobert Peche, com o seu ecletismo estético, de formas ondulantes e cheias de movimento. A forma como Dagobert Peche intersectava figuras geométricas e as suas paletas cromáticas influenciaram a construção das peças, assim como muitos dos detalhes desta colecção.
Ricardo Preto chose the neutral colors - gray, beige, blue, brown, black - and some complementary shades, contrasting, such as blue-brown and salmon as you see repeatedly in New York's latest catwalks.
Ricardo Preto escolheu os tons neutros - cinza, bege, azul, castanho e preto - e algumas sombras-constraste, como o azul pardo e o salmão.
