This Modalisboa edition The Polish art fashion designer Dawid Tomaszewski was the choose for internacional guest. He currently dividing his time between London, United Kingdom and Berlin, Germany. His style is a merging of purism and extravagance, appreciation of detail, and using elements of haute couture. His work is inspired by art, architecture and music. He worked for Sonia Rykiel and  Alexis Mabille in 2000 and 2003 and in Tokyo with the Comme des Garçons (2008). in summer of that year he was collaborating on opening Comme des Garçons shop with Rei Kawakubo. At the end of 2008, he returned to Berlin and launched a label under his own name. The collection he presented brought a grand success. It was inspired by Frank Garry and Anish Kapoor. He was awarded with Young designer award in January 2010. Additionally he exhibited at the Premium exhibition in Berlin. That collection brought him several publications in Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, and other magazines. The spring summer 2011 collection was very positively commented by Anna Wintour. It was presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin and Fashion Week Poland in Łódź. So with this impressive resume no wonder that Dawid Tomaszewski's show caused a major buzz among the fashion people. The show room was full of young fashion lovers expecting something great from the man who worked with the most considered and prestige names of the fashion world.

For His Spring/Summer 2012 collection Tomaszewski takes his main inspiration from paintings of the 17th century. The poetry of mortality, loneliness, veiling, anonymity, death... is present through all the collection "Vanitas Flowers". The models act like angels flowing in chiffon dresses and silk, carried translucent flowers designs as an allegory of vitality and mortality at the same time. I loved the symbiosis of the lovely feminine dresses and the classical men suits.

A particular highlight of this collection is the cooperation with the traditional house of Peter Kaiser, for whom he created a shoe collection for a second time, as well as the collaboration with the modiste Zussa.

But girls, what a shoes!!!! I must confess my sin... when I saw the Dawid's creations for the human being walk on my attention stop right there when the legs turned shoes!
