"Grego-roman influences deconstructed and revisited with a tropical twist" said Luis Buchinho about his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2012, already showed in the Paris Fashion Week, and today T Modalisboa. Drapery spreads throughout the collection outlining the silhouette in an engaging feminine way. The short and the long coexist in dresses and skirts sometimes light, sometimes structured. Well-tailored jackets and menswear inspired pants also draped reinforce the casual and urban feeling of the collection.
In this Buchinho's collection what I love most ( that crossed all the Portuguese designer's work) is the attention to the details and mainly in the macramé and crochet pieces that reminds Roman armor in a modern reinterpretation that makes very trendy pieces. The fabrics range from lightweight cotton, linen gauze, cupro, silk, sequins to silk jerseys. The final result is very urban pieces with a bright side, wearable at day light, and also in a evening party. A perfect wardrobe for a powerful woman that knows all about her own femininity and wants to seduce in a long floating dress pointed to the wind as modern veils of the thousand nights, maybe a Greek godness in a sunset beach, dancing in the light!
Influências do universo grego-romano, desconstruido e revisitado por vibrações tropicais - foi como Luis Buchinho descreveu a sua colecção para a próxima estação quente. Os drapeados, há muito inscritos no DNA do criador Português, pontuam toda a colecção, contornando a silhueta de modo envolvente e feminino e reforçam o seu lado mais casual. O longo e o curto coexistem, em vestidos e saias ora fluídas, ora estruturadas. Luis Buchinho brinda-nos com casacos de cintura bem marcada e calças de inspiração masculina. Mas, o que mais gostei foram as peças em macramé e crochet, excelentemente bem executadas, como já vem sendo habitual no Buchinho ou não fosse ele um especialista em malhas. As peças tecidas numa especie de rede em dourado e prateado remetem-nos imediatamente para as armaduras romanas reinterpretadas em peças tendência. Os tecidos vão desde os algodões leves, gazes em linho, cupro, sedas, lantejoulas até os jerseys em seda sempre absolutamente sedutores. Um perfeito guarda-roupa para a mulher poderosa que sabe tudo sobre o fascinio que a sua feminilidade exerce e gosta de seduzir com os seus longos vestidos de pontas esvoaçantes como uma deusa grega que adora festas numa praia ao por-so-sol e dançar na luz.
