PORTUGAL FASHION SPRING SUMMER 2011 - DIOGO MIRANDA

It was back to the seventies and latest sixties at Diogo Miranda, as on so many other runways this season. The designer attempted to conjure the wild nights of Studio 54 with a lineup that was long on a red dress. If it felt like a tepid re-imagining of that heady era, especially in light of the disco-y decadence but lots of chic glam..

De volta aos anos 70 e finais dos anos 60 na colecção Primavera/Verão 2011 de Diogo Miranda, como já foi visto em tantos desfiles para a próxima estação quente. Diogo Miranda inspirou-se nas noites bravas do estúdio 54 em Nova Iorque, bem patente no vestido longo vermelho. Toda a colecção é sentida como uma re-imaginação do brilho da Era disco-decadente mas com muito glamour chique.  

I loved the floral prints of the tops and shirts matched with waisted skirts and the mix of different materials as silk, lace and chiffon in fluttering dresses which lined the catwalk.  

Gostei bastante das estampagens florais que andaram um pouco arredadas dos desfiles da modalisboa, sobretudo, em tops e camiseiros a combinar com saias de cintura subida, assim como a mistura de materiais como a seda, renda e chiffon em vestidos esvoaçantes que encheram a passerelle.  

Really, though, the inspiration was more generally retro but with a contemporary hedge, a kind of candy looks which a party girl would like to wear. 
 Realmente parece que a inspiração de Diogo Miranda é genericamente retro mas a circundar a
contemporaneidade, uma espécie de looks de bombom que qualquer rapariga gostaria de usar numa festa.
