KNITWEAR IS THE TIMELESS FASHION LOVE AFFAIR!

Neon laces, plasticised textures and laser cut leathers may be the technological and progressive fabrics and ideas floating in a dreamlike form in our heads in recent seasons, but while knitwear appears to have had a resurgence in fashion, it’s relevance and diversity has been timeless. To honour knitwear's influence and presence, MoMu in Antwerp will present the exhibition 'Unravel: Knitwear in Fashion'. Knitwear pieces by Vivienne Westwood and Missoni, just to name a few, will star alongside Haute Couture by Patou and Chanel and the work of progressive new designers such as Mark Fast and Sandra Backlund, to illustrate the versatile luxury and continued fascination behind knitwear.

 Renda neon, texturas plastificadas, cortes lazer em pele podem ser materiais tecnológicos e inovadores e estas ideias flutuam em forma de sonhos nas nossas cabeças nas últimas estações, enquanto as malhas parecem ter tido um ressurgimento na moda, sublinhando a sua relevância e diversidade que é sem dúvida eterna. Em honra da influência e presença que a roupa de malha tem tido na história da moda, o MoMu na Antuérpia apresenta uma exposição " Unravel:Knitwear in Fashion" /Revelar: As malhas na moda. Peças de malha de Vivienne Westwood e Missoni, para citar só alguns dos nomes representados na exposição, a par da Alta Costura por Patou e Chanel e o trabalho de inovadores designers como Mark Fast e Sandra Backlund, que ilustram a versatilidade e o luxo por detrás da roupa de malha que fascinou e continuará a fascinar gerações de criadores.
