Alexandra Moura is always one of the most anticipated shows for me, not only because the clothes and styling are always great, but because there is visual impact from the designer's thousand inspirations that make us traveling in this global village of local aesthetic and universal ideas.
In this collection Alexandra Moura found inspiration at the Handramaut tribe in Yemen, in their monochrome inhospitable and contained aesthetic in a mystic kind of mood, and also at the conceptual minimalist aesthetic of the work of artist Pires Vieira, mainly of his 80's geometry monochrome screens, with horizontal and vertical alignments. A very interesting mix that translates into a perfect fusion of these two aesthetic concepts as distant in time and space.
Alexandra Moura é sempre um dos desfiles mais aguardados por mim, não só porque as roupas e o styling são sempre muito bons, mas, porque há impacto visual proveniente das mil inspirações da designer que nos faz viajar por esta aldeia global de estéticas locais e ideias universais. Desta vez Alexandra Moura foi buscar inspiração à tribo Handramaut, no Yémen, misturado o inóspito monocromático, contido e mistico da sua estética conceptual ao registo minimalista, sensibilidade, grafismo, cor e geometria da obra do artista plástico Pires Vieira com as suas telas monocromáticas, com alinhamentos horizontais e verticais . Uma mistura deveras interessante que se traduz numa fusão perfeita destas duas concepções estéticas tão distantes no tempo e no espaço

Alexandra Moura, whose work is mentioned in the book "The Young Europeen Fashion Designers" as one of the most influential in the future of the Fashion World, like transport us to distant worlds that inspire her and consequently inspire us and make us dream about other dimensions. This collection resulting from that osmotic reading between intimate and minimalist universe of Vitor Pires Vieira and a tribal world which also contained an intimate mood, resulting from their contact with a rude and inhospitable landscape, but at the same time mystical and spiritual, translates thus a strong silhouette where the black and indigo blue are the theme. Alexandra Moura, cujo trabalho é mencionado no livro " The Young Europeen Fashion Designers" como um dos mais influentes no futuro do Fashion World, gosta de nos transportar para mundos distantes que a inspiram e por consequência nos inspiram, e nos fazem sonhar com outras dimensões. Esta coleção que resulta dessa leitura osmótica entre o universo intimo e minimalista de Vitor Pires Vieira e o mundo tribal de certa forma também ele contido e interior, resultante do contacto com uma natureza inóspita e rude, mas, paralelamente, mistica e espiritual, traduz-se, assim, numa silhueta forte onde o negro e o azul indigo dão o mote.
De certa forma o trabalho de Alexandra Moura gira em torno desse elemnto tribal, tribos urbanas que pertencem a uma estética contemporânea onde o sofisticado se mistura com o rudimentar, o clássico com elementos desportivos e o feminino se funde com o masculino. Afinal. é essa mistura que distingue as criações de Alexandra Moura e que a faz ser tão amada por certos clans urbanos.
