INSPIRATION: BACK TO SURREALISM TO RAN FROM THE REAL HARD TIMES

According to the hard times that we are all living, the surreal - than the conscious and lucid real - takes some extra points. As fashion is the mirror that reflects its own time, it is not surprising that Vogue Italy, in its February 2013 edition, is inspired by surrealism. Laura Kampman, photographed by Steven Meisel, made the magnificent cover with a hat inspired by a creation of Elsa Schiaparelli, the 'Eye hat', back to the surrealist paraphernalia of Dali, Cocteau and Man Ray who inspired Schiaparelli, including collaborating in their work. Surreal or real, it seems that fashion couldn't leave the pure revivalism,  looking the past as an inexhaustible source. Even my favorite collection, the Prada SS/2013, is filled with giant daisies on clothing and acesssórios, which teleports us to the inescapable '60s, the decade that had been an unquestionableinfluence like no other to current trends and which seems so hard to take off into something radically different.
