"A Priest is Going To a Wild Party" is the motto for Lidija Kolovrat's spring/summer 2013 collection. She said in her notes " First thoughs of the collection were inspired by the Catholic mission from Portugal to Japan in the 16th century..." Religion and fashion had always a hot connection and the religious symbols - the cross at first - and Catholic imagery had inspired many designers since ever. Kolovrat had always a great sense of colors and prints of this collection is no exception. Digital prints and vibrant colors gave an explosion of energy in the catwalk running to abstractionism. The dark pallette night blue mixed with natural gold and red were a must that catched the eyes and went into our sense of fashion now. I also loved the movement that cuts and fabrics built around the body. Lidija never disappoint, that's a fact!
" Um Padre Vai a Uma Festa Selvagem" é o mote para a colecção primavera/verão 2013 de Lidija Kolovrat. Diz a designer nas suas notas: " A primeira ideia acerca da colecção foi inspirada pela missão Católica de Portugal para o Japão no sec. XVI". Religião e moda sempre tiveram uma conexão forte e os simbolos religiosos - com a cruz em destaque - e o imaginário católico têm inspirado muitos designers desde sempre. Kolovrat sempre teve um grande sentido de cor e estampagem e esta colecção não é excepção. Prints digitais e cores vibrantes a roçar o abastraccionismo trouxeram um shot de energia à catwalk neste dia que já vai longo. A paleta dark declinada em azul noite e capta o olhar mais distraido ( e cansado!!!), dando-nos uma grande lição de moda. Adorei o aproveitamento que a designer fez do movimento natural dos tecidos e dos cortes construídos à volta do corpo que ondula na passarelle e deixa a sua marca à passagem. Destaque ainda para as malas e sapatos e para o styling fantástico.
