Last week I saw again Birds (1963) by Alfred Hitchcock, one of my favourite films by the great master of suspense, and this movie reminded me how fashion is influenced by birds but a kind of in the evil way of the wings. Then I looked at 160g magazine and I was really inspired by Under the wing of Satan! The fascination of the fashion world by the feathers and its exotic mood are not new, they give drama and mystery to a simple look, adding a certain evil and innocent aura that the fashion gods love so much.
A semana passada assisti novamente ao filme "Passáros" de Alfred Hitchcock, um dos meus filmes favoritos do mestre do suspense, e este filme inspirou-me para reler algumas das ultimas colecções inspiradas nestas criaturas ambíguas que consegume despertar simultaneamente atracção e repulsa, designadamente, as colecções de Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh e Junya Watanabe. A fascinação da moda pelo lado mais sombrio das penas não é novidade, pois, a penugem exuberante das aves conferem dramatismo a qualquer visual mais simples, acrescentando-lhe essa aura malévola e inocente que os deuses da moda tanto gostam.
