Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are that kind of designers that made the unexpected the real thing and fashion a big lab of crazy but amazing concepts turned into clothes. Distortion, deconstruction and layering are the three key words in their collections. In my opinion the duo had the great virtue to stop the boundaries' sharpness between ready-to-wear and haute couture. This collection for Fall 2011 showed us another great well-doing of Viktor and Rolf 's work: The great connections between art and fashion, the silver dresses are almost sculptures and art installations to wear. The point is that the Viktor and Rolf's work pulls fashion to another limits behind the obvious - to design garments to please people and turned them desirable... because fashion must be much more than that. In the end of the day people get out of a Viktor and Rolf's show with the free sensation they just watched what fashion really must be.
Viktor Horsting e Rolf Snoeren são aquele tipo de criadores para quem o inesperado é o real e a moda um excelente laboratório para experimentação das suas ideias e conceitos tornados roupa. Distorção, desconstrução e camadas são as palavras chave das suas colecções. Em minha opinião o duo tem o grande mérito de esborratar os limites entre pronto-a-vestir e alta costura. Esta colecção para o próximo Outono mostra-nos outro mérito do trabalho de Viktor e Rolf - as conexões estreitas entre a arte e a moda (e até a arquitectura). Os vestidos prateados são autênticas esculturas e instalações de arte para vestir. The duo of designers puxam a moda opara limites mais ambiciosos que o simples papel de criar roupas para agradar às pessoas. A moda é muito mais do que isso, e finalmente, quando acabamos de assistir a um desfile de Viktor and Rolf sentimos que acabamos de ver o que a moda deve ser e para onde deve caminhar.
