INSPIRATION: INSPIRATIONAL STUFF



The Sartorialist



I confess that every time I have less motivation to go to the streets of downtown Lisbon take pictures to boys and girls who swarms there at the weekend. The large uniform shirt / blouse over leggings more boots on the more neutral colors that is possible to find, with predominance of creams, browns and blacks in all its variants come to annoy me! For boys the uniform diversify even less and at a certain distance one can not distinguish one from another almost like migratory birds crossing the skies. When I visit foreign streetstyle blogs the picture is quite different and there we can find people with a real sense of style who mixes the most unlikely stuff to create unique outfits and not transferable. The worst in my opinion is when these same girls who do not leave the leggings + boots' uniforme for the world, still shooting themselves to display a styling that has nothing to do with styling,and multiply exhaustively what the it-girls wore years ago. So no wonder when I find images disclosed by blogs like The Sartorialist or Jak and Jill (and other lesser known but equally good) from New York to Tokyo extremely inspiring, because the style's issue it's a question of  we find our own style, and remember, once and for all that inspiration is not to copy.  

Confesso que cada vez tenho menos motivação para ir para as ruas da Baixa de Lisboa tirar fotos aos meninos e às meninas que por lá pululam ao fim de semana. O uniforme t-shirt larga/blusa mais leggings mais botas nas cores mais neutras que seja possivel encontrar, com predominancia dos cremes, castanhos e pretos em todas as suas variantes me chega a irritar! Nos meninos o uniforme varia ainda menos e ao longe ninguém consegue distingui-los tais aves migratórias em bando a cruzarem os céus. Quando visito blogs de streetstyle estrangeiros o panorama é bastante diferente e aí encontram-se pessoas realmente com sentido de estilo que das misturas mais improváveis conseguem criar outfits únicos e intransmissiveis. O pior na minha opinião é quando essas mesmas meninas que não deixam o uniforme leggings+botas por nada deste mundo, ainda se entretêm a fotografar-se e a exibir um styling que nada tem a ver com styling, e que multiplicam à exaustão aquilo que as it-girls vestiam há anos atrás. Por isso não é de admirar quando acho extremamente inspiradoras as imagens que blogs como The Sartorialist ou Jak and Jill ( e outros igualmente bons mas menos conhecidos) divulgam de Nova Iorque a Tóquio.  Porque esse assunto de estilo só resulta quando cada um encontra o seu próprio. E lembrem-se de uma vez por todas que inspirar em... não é copiar.
