INSPIRATION: NOSTALGIA

Inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1984 film, “Nostalgia”, the May issue of Interview Russia gave us an amazing editorial by Arno Frugier. As for me I love about mixing leather with velvet and silk or lace in the same oufit. It works well too mixing wool fabrics with light materials like tulle or lace. A look that is recurring for me is wearing a silk and lace dress with a long coat made by a thick fabric or fur and a pair of biker boots.

A super-chic way to use metal acessories, mainly shoes, is in a white total look - it's a cliché but it works!

INSPIRATION: MARQUES' ALMEIDA - A Question of Attitude...

An upcoming Portuguese brand Marques´Almeida and one of my fave is now available at the prestigious Opening Ceremony (New York and Los Angeles) and also available clothes and shoes at Joyce ( Hong Kong) or at Desperado (Tokyo).

It is said at the label's site that Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida subscribe to the Helmut Lang school of thought, where ‘fashion is about attitude, not hemlines’. I couldn't agree more because Marques' Almeida is only for those girls who already have an attitude of their own, and for those who don't expect that clothes and acessories should give them a style because the style is something so personal.
