INSPIRATION: SATURDAY'S WALK ON THE BEACH, CASCAIS

For me Winter should keep like that: No ending sunny days, quiet and warm, or can I say an early amazing Spring!? So, today I wake up with this awesome feeling of " I have so many things to do but instead I will have the exquisite pleasure of doing nothing". 

So I and my husband with our Samsung camera got to the beach for a coffee and a walk...    

In the meantime I met happy people getting sports, parents with their children riding bikes and skating, fancy old man with their white panamas... Oh! That's good life! I red my weekend newspaper while my dear husband took some photos... 

....with a cute puppy named Toquinho that ran to my arms and gave me a funny licked on my face. 

 

 I couldn't bring the puppy home and that was a kind of funny situation because Toquinho, the puppy seemed to felt in love with me at first sight! 


Bye bye, Toquinho I would like an ice cream now! Choc, vanilla and blackberries would be nice!

INSPIRATION: (SELF) OUTBURST!

I need to rest. This would be simple and clean "If I need to rest I will do it." but when we have a full time job and a blog to run alone, if we want to do a good job, time is never enough. I just missed a lot of invitations for important events, I know that if I don't put the blog (and my work, my writting) foward nobody knows that it exists ...

Preciso mesmo de descansar. Isto devia ser tão claro e simples como "Se preciso de descansar então vou descansar", mas, quando se tem um trabalho a tempo inteiro e um blog para gerir sozinha, se queremos fazer um bom trabalho em ambos os lados, o tempo nunca chega e descansar está em último lugar da lista. Acabo por perder imensos convites para eventos que até são importantes para promover o blog, e sei que se não for eu a promover o blog e a minha escrita mais ninguém o fará e não vou conseguir avançar.

My wish is only sleep all the weekend, take a shower, put a fresh pajama, eat cereals and toasts and sleep again...

O problema é quando o meu único desejo  passa por dormir todo o fim de semana, tomar um duche, vestir um pijama lavado, comer cereais e torradas e voltar a dormir de novo...

Ok, these winters days are just awesome here in Lisbon, Cascais, and I should take the amazing day light and go taking photos, ideas for new editorials and inspiration for my posts. Maybe I'll do it, otherwise I will spend all the week making re-blogs and copy of others' work, only because I didn't work for having new original stuff. The question is I work eight-nine hours a day, five days a week to have enough money to pay the rent. In the end of the day I only want to eat and sleep, far, far away to put a cocktail dress and high heels, and go out to party openings and these kind of social events. 

Está bem, os dias de inverno estão fantásticos aqui em Lisboa, Cascais, e eu deveria aproveitar esta luz única para tirar fotos, inspiração para novos editoriais e novos posts. Provavelmente é o que irei fazer, caso contrário vou passar a semana a re-blogar ou a copiar o trabalho de outros por falta de material próprio. A questão é que trabalho 8-9 horas por dia, cinco dias por semana (quando não seis) para ter dinehiro suficiente para pagar a renda. No final do dia só quero comer e dormir, muito longe portanto dos vestidos cocktail e dos saltos pornograficamente altos, ir sair a inaugurações e eventos sociais. e já se sabe como é quem não aparece não existe!

I feel that my blog is a kind of stagnant and not evolving at the beat I wanted to because of my personal limitations. It takes a lot of energy, go out, go shopping, researche all the time, to take/make new contacts, and keep the old ones linked, making new stuff everyday, writting (this is a no problem for me) everyday, taking photos of people's looks, places and go for a good looking for myself... to visit the other fellow blogs, and mainly keep very well informed thought credible sources and check on the veracity of  facts various through different sources. It takes time, lots of energy, effort and personal commitment.

Sinto que o meu blog está estagnado e não evolui ao ritmo que eu gostaria por causa das minhas limitações pessoais. Isto implica muita energia, estar sempre bem disposta para sair, ter atenção à apresentação própria, não descurar nada desde cabelo à manicure, ir frequentemente às compras (ou´nem que seja às lojas para estar informada das novidades), fazer muita pesquisa o tempo todo, fazer novos contactos e gerir os velhos estando sempre ligada, elaborar material novo todos os dias, escrever todos os dias (apesar de isso não ser um problema para mim), tirar fotos as pessoas na rua para estudar tendências e se possível preve-las, visitar outros blogs similares para saber o que anda no ar, e sobretudo, manter-me muito bem informada através de fontes credíveis e verificar os factos mais do que uma vez comparando fontes e proveniências. Tudo isto exige tempo, muita energia, esforço, empenho e compromisso pessoal perante quem nos segue/lê.

But this blog is a great part of my life, it began to be a hobby to relax and talk about things that I can't talk in my daily life at work or in family or with friends because fashion and style ideas aren't the great themes for the people I knew. Suddenly my blog became big enough to try other dreams like to have invitations to fashion weeks and meet fashion people, designers, artists, models, actors... and that kind of stuff. I got the goal but I couldn't never forget that I have another job which my family depends to survive.

Mas, este blog representa uma grande parte da minha vida. Tudo começou pela necessidade de um espaço onde pudesse falar de coisas sobre as quais não podia falar no trabalho, com a familia ou entre os meus amigos porque as pessoas que conhecia, certamente, não elegiam a moda e o estilo entre os seus temas favoritos. Mas, de hobby e de fuga passou a algo grande que me permitiu sonhar em ir a sítios e conhecer pessoas que de outra forma não seria possivel, como a desfiles nas semanas da moda, conhecer e entrevistar designers, artistas, modelos, actores, fashionistas... e muita gente que sempre admirei de longe. Consegui o objectivo mas não me posso esquecer que tenho o meu trabalho principal do qual depende a minha familia.  

I have two different lives but I'm only one and my day as the same 24h hours as everybody else. So I apologize to my followers because I couldn't do better that I did in these almost 2 years. I promise you that soon Fashion Heroines will be something new and different. I'm working to create a fresh face and lots of new stuff. I have so many ideas so I had time and budget to implement them all.

Tenho duas vidas diferentes mas sou só uma e, infelizmente, o dia tem as mesmas 24 horas que para o resto das pessoas que habitualmente só têm uma vida com que se preocupar. Pelo que peço desculpa aos meus pacientes seguidores que certamente já devam estar fartos do mesmo lay out e do velho formato com dois anos quase. É que nos nossos dias algo com tanto tempo - prai 24 meses ou assim - a vaguear na net já devia estar velho e acabado! Compreendo! Mas, posso prometer-vos que mais cedo do que pensam vou dar uma fresh face ao blog e aparecer com novidades no formato. Tenho imensas ideias mas o pior é o tempo e o budget para as concretizar todas.   

Step by step I tried to make the difference. I wouldn't like to talk about things I don't like or I don't care just because I'm paid to do that. I didn't accept never a coin to talk about this or that, since the very beggining from this day now. If I wrote about something was just because I felt in love by it or it just surprised me and I'm a girl that needs to be surprised!

Passo a passo tentei fazer a diferença no universo blog-fashion português. Sempre esteve fora de questão falar sobre coisas que não gosto ou que não me interessam só porque sou paga para o fazer. Nunca aceitei uma moeda que fosse para falar disto ou daquilo desde o principio até ao dia de hoje. Se escrevi sobre algo é porque isso me apaixonou ou me surpreendeu (pela positiva ou negativa) e eu sou uma rapariga que gosta e precisa de ser surpeendida de vez em quando. 

Dear followers, I think I can do better and take Fashion Heroines to another level. Each comment or message on facebook you did about how inspiring is my blog make me to wish do better and better. Yes, I have limitations and time is the biggest... what can I do but to go ahead and promise you I'll do my best only for your delight. I can't give up now, I'm a fashion addict in a kind of heroic way, I was the first fashion heroine for myself. 

Queridos seguidores e amigos facebookianos, sei que posso fazer melhor para levar o Fashion Heroines a outro nível ( e não falo de conseguir awards, estrelinhas, patinhos, etc.). Cada comentário vosso nos meus posts ou mensagens no Facebook sobre o blog e como ele pode ser inspirador para vós vale mais do que qualquer reconhecimento público. São vocês que se manifestam a cada dia sobre o que faço que me impele a fazer mais e melhor. Sim, mas eu tenho limitações que vocês tão bem conhecem e a falta de tempo é uma delas. Mas, o que é que me resta fazer senão ir em frente e fazer o meu melhor. Não posso agora desistir de uma das minhas vidas, gosto de ambas e não posso deixar uma em prol da outra. Afinal, sou a primeira fashion heroine (pelo menos para mim própria) e as heroinas nunca desistem pois não?

Look carefully these pics above... at the first sight it looks like they came from the same collection but no, no they didn't. Look again and read the photos' subtitles. They are from Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2012 menswear collection and from Moschino Fall 2012 collection. Both Moschino and Jean Paul Gaultier printed a brick wall in their pieces. Will the brick's print become the new floral?

Observem bem as imagens acima... à primeira vista ninguém diria que não pertencem à mesma colecção, mas, não, leiam as legendas das imagens! Elas pertencem a duas colecções distintas à de Jean Paul Gaultier para o Outono 2012 e à colecção de Moschino também para o próximo Outono. Ambos, Jean Paul Gaultier e Moschino elegeram o tema dos tijolos de parede para print das suas peças. Será o padrão tijolos o novo floral? Certamente um tema a ser explorado nos blogs nos próximos tempos!

I loved the mix of the trend American Western and the cowboy's theme with  Bollywood and India vibes! Only a genius like Thakoon could join these opposite trends together!

O que eu realmente adorei nestes sapatos foi a impensável junção do tema oeste americano e cowboys com vibrações de Bollywood e estética indiana. Só um génio como Thakoon conseguia algo assim, unir opostos num mix que funciona.

Jona, the owner and designer of InAisce was born in 1983 on a farm at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
