Since ever my fashion bibles are magazines like Dazed and Confused, Another or ID, and their editorials gave me true inspiration. Some time ago I wanted to do a photoshoot in the line of those magazines and I made a challenge to these boys I met at Lisbon Fashion week, Ruben Martins (see his website HERE) and Vitor Lopes, and to the photographer Joao Lamares. They accepted the "tournament" around the idea of androgyny and this is the result of our work.
Desde que me lembro as minhas biblias da moda são revistas como a Dazed and Confused, Another e ID e os seus editoriais irreverentes sempre foram fontes primordiais de inspiração para as minhas produções. Como sempre quis fazer um photoshoot na linhas dessas revistas, há um tempo atrás conheci o Ruben Martins ( http://rubenmartins.com/ ) e o Vitor Lopes na semana da moda de Lisboa e achei que seriam os modelos perfeitos para a minha produção. Lancei-lhes o desafio, assim como ao fotógrafo Joao Lamares e eles aceitaram, pelo que publicou aqui o resultado em volta do tema da androgenia.
As you can see the boys incarnated perfectly the characters I asked them, and the photographer Joao Lamares caught in more than two hundred photos the naivety and sophistication of the two urban boys' story of love and abatement, in a contained irreverence of their free spirits.
Como podem ver os rapazes incarnaram na perfeição os personagens que lhe foram pedidos, e o fotógrafo Joao Lamares captou em mais de duas centenas de fotos, a ingenuidade e sofisticação da história dos dois jovens urbanos, de amor e afastamento, numa contida irreverencia que por vezes extravasa os seus espiritos livres.
