UNISPIRED: AMY, TRAGEDY IN NORWAY...

Quando temos consciência de nós já não somos mais crianças; Quando temos noção de que a infância e adolescência são, possivelmente, as fases mais felizes, ou mais despreocupadas, da nossa vida, já somos adultos cheios de responsabilidades; Quando temos hipótese de sermos pessoas realizadas e melhores, quando atingimos realmente a maturidade suficiente para fazermos um esforço sério para sermos menos imperfeitos, passamos a preocuparmo-nos com as primeiras rugas e outros pequenos sinais de envelhecimento, e já não nos sentimos jovens. Ficamos angustiados e iniciamos a corrida desenfreada à juventude perdida. Então, ficamos nostálgicos da idade em que éramos jovens bonitos e inconscientes e esquecemo-nos o quanto infelizes e dramáticos foram os tempos das borbulhas e das inseguranças. O tempo corre incessante e depressa somos realmente velhos, mas, continuamos a viver do passado e daquilo que imaginamos que fomos um dia, quando, afinal, nunca realmente o fomos: felizes e realizados na idade certa e no tempo exacto – o presente!


Por outro lado, vivemos como se a morte só acontecesse aos outros e quando chegamos ao fim da linha parece que a vida e a correspondente aprendizagem não passaram por nós. Sempre preocupados com ninharias, levamos o tempo a fazer a vida dos outros num Inferno, somos invejosos e cobardes, apesar, de estarmos sempre a colocar a nossa vida em risco com acções completamente inconscientes e imaturas, seja a conduzir a 200 km/hora, seja a cometer excessos de toda a ordem. Para não falar que adoptamos um estilo de vida que apesar dos progressos científicos e tecnológicos, nos afasta cada vez mais da quimérica felicidade que todos perseguem, seja a jogarem no euromilhões, seja a consumir desenfreadamente não importa o quê e a sonhar que ganhamos o euromilhões para comprarmos ainda mais.

Destruímos o nosso presente e a hipótese de sermos felizes no aqui e agora; beatificamos um passado que afinal não vivemos e que só imaginamos à luz de uma interpretação falseada pela passagem do tempo; Somos seres sôfregos de ter isto e aquilo por comparação ao vizinho, apesar de sabermos que na meta final só existe um monólogo entre nós próprios e a pessoa imperfeita que conseguimos ser; Elevamos o supérfluo à categoria de indispensável e com leviandade dispensamos o que é realmente importante enquanto por cá andamos; Vivemos como se fossemos eternos e não aprendemos absolutamente nada com a desgraça alheia; Sabemos na teoria que não há segundas oportunidades e que o tempo é como a água de um rio que não passa duas vezes pelas mesmas pedras, mas, isso não nos impede de desperdiçar oportunidades, umas vezes por medo, outras vezes por comodismo; Mas, não temos medo de consumir drogas, álcool, de conduzir perigosamente, de mentir, de trair, de sermos lixo sem possibilidade de reciclagem, de lixarmos a vida dos outros, mas, ficamos muito ofendidos e surpresos quando nos lixam a vida a nós. E no final, consideramo-nos os seres mais inteligentes do Universo, um milagre da vida, uma dádiva divina…
Mas, somos estúpidos ou quê?


When we realize about ourselves we are no longer a child; When we are aware that childhood and adolescence are possibly the happier and more carefree age of our lives, we are already adults and full of responsibilities; When people have a chance of being a better person, when we reached the maturity to actually make a serious effort to be less imperfect, we began to concern ourselves with the first small wrinkles and other signs of aging, and we don’t feel young anymore. We are distressed and we begin to scramble the lost youth. Then we become nostalgic for the good old times when we thank we were unconscious young and beautiful, and forget about how unfortunate and dramatic were these times of bubbles and insecurities. Time is running fast and relentless we are really old, but we still live in the glorification of the past, and living with the imagination of what we once were, when, after all, we never were happy and fulfilled at the right age and the exact time - the present!


On the other hand, we are living as if death only happened to others, and when we will reach the end of the line it seems that we were learning nothing at all about life’s issues. We are always concerned with trifles, we took our precious time to make the lives of others in Hell, we are jealous and cowardly, though, we are always putting our lives at risk by unaware and immature actions like driving as crazy, and committing all kind of excesses. Not to mention we are adopting a curious lifestyle that despite scientific and technological improvements, we make happiness as an absolutely and viciously chimerical state of mind. The most advanced human species all pursue happiness in vain, playing at the EuroMillions, or in an unbridled consumption, in which the major dream is to dream about win the lottery for buy even more.

We are destroying our Present and the chance to be happy here and now; We beatified the Past that we can’t live again, and we are thinking under the light of a distorted interpretation of time. We are greedy human beings who are always comparing their life with the person next door; despite we know in the end of the day there is only a monologue between ourselves and the imperfect person that we are, in fact, we are still raising the unnecessary to the category of essential and we dismissed out of our lives what is really important staff; We are living like we are eternal and we learned nothing with the others’ misfortune; we know in theory there are no second chances and time is like water from a river that doesn’t run twice under the same stones. This rhetorical knowledge does not prevent us from wasting opportunities, sometimes because fear, others for convenience, but we are not afraid to use drugs, alcohol, driving dangerously, lying, cheating, spoiling others’ lives and at the same time we were always very surprised and offended when others spoiled our own . Finally, in the end, we consider ourselves the most intelligent beings in the universe, a miracle of life, a divine gift... But we are stupid or what?

INSPIRATION: STYLING YOURSELF!

I think the beauty of styling myself is telling something deep into me and keep it visible outside; The way I want you see me tells you everything about my deepest feelings. That's why I think appearance is not so superficial as it seems.


Julgo que a beleza de fazermos o nosso próprio styling está em contarmos algo profundo que está dentro de nós e torna-lo visivel para o exterior; O modo como eu quero que me vejas diz muito sobre o que se passa no meu interior, assim, como sobre os meus sentimentos mais profundos. É por isso que acho que a aparência não é algo tão superficial como parece.

INSPIRATION: ME, THE ZARA'S EMERALD SKIRT... AND THE WIND (PART 2)

Finally I got my emerald green long skirt! After a really tour by all Zara stores all around Lisbon I found my favourite skirt for next fall, in my size, at Almada Forum! It was a long cute story with my husband and a couple of friends that I never forgot! Thanks to them I got my statement skirt in that kind of green that I'm dying for...

Finalmente, encontrei a saia verde esmeralda no meu tamanho, depois de um verdadeiro tour pelas Zaras de Lisboa e arredores, inclusive encontra-se esgotada na loja online! Quase já tinha desistido quando eis que no Forum Almada a saia apareceu, depois de uma divertida partida do meu marido de um casal amigo, Rose e Roberto.... que eu não esquecerei tão cedo (mas, isso ficará para contar depois...).

 Oh, and I got the SKY BLUE matched with my EMERALD GREEN! My obsession came true!  Yesssssssss...
E claro com a saia verde esmeralda a minha obsessão pelo verde e azul céu juntos tornou-se realidade! Yesssssssssssss...

INSPIRATION: ME, ZARA... AND THE WIND!

Last Friday afternoon I said good bye to summer sales with my last purchases from Zara. One of my best acquisitions was this amazing wide pants in dark blue soie. they go with almost everything from tops to shirts, and they are really comfortable with flats, or they can become a truly glamorous piece with a pair of high heels. If i want I can even take them to the beach over the bikini. It's a perfect piece to go everywhere in holidays, don't you think?

Na sexta-feira passada despedi-me dos saldos de Verão com as minhas últimas compras na Zara. Uma das minhas aquisições mais inteligentes foram estas calças largas em seda azul escuro. Elas ficam bem com tudo, desde tops a camisas e são realmente comfortáveis com sandálias rasas. Mas, também se podem tornar numa peça muito glamorosa se usadas com saltos altos, ou podem ser usadas na praia por cima do biquini. É uma peça versátil que irá comigo para todo o lado nas férias. Isto é o que eu chamo um bom investimento de saldos, não acham?
